Sales Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Director of Sales

Lexington Hotel Group is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Sales Coordinator to join our Columbus Downtown team. The ideal candidate thrives in a Fast-Paced Hotel Environment and, through detail oriented and customer focused planning, ensures an excellent customer experience for individual and group guests.

Candidate should be highly organized, detail-orientated, and an exemplary time manager, and must possess excellent written and verbal communication. Previous hotel/catering sales/related experience is preferred. Excellent computer skills required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Input all Groups into reservation system
• Input and update All Rooming Lists
• Set up group and preferred account routing to ensure accurate billing
• Build House Accounts for Meeting rooms and Group Blocks
• Ensure credit cards are in place and authorize credit cards week prior to event
• Act as on-site contact for site tours and large group arrivals as needed
• Manage incoming calls and emails for group updates, changes and requests
• Manage Group Restaurant bookings

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-5 Years of Hotel Experience is a plus
• Previous experience in a Sales and/or Catering department is a plus
• Computer proficiency and experience with: Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Delphi. Experience with Opera a plus.
• Must be able to lift 25lbs.
